Sophia Trevor is a multifaceted and professional classical and jazz pianist, contemporary composer and songwriter, dedicated educator, and uprising artist based in Los Angeles, California. Sophia specializes in an eclectic musical range that blends her piano playing and jazz/classical background, with songwriting, and is one of this generation's most unique and diverse musicians. She was accepted into the Jazz Piano Master's program at California Institute of the Arts University, and decided to pursue her passions as a solo artist instead. She takes inspiration from pianists like Gerald Clayton, Shai Maestro, Emmet Cohen, Emily Bear, Bill Evans, Chopin, Debussy and Oscar Peterson, to modern songwriters like Jacob Collier, Hiatus Kaiyote, Michael Mayo, John Mayer, Lizzy Mcalpine, and Billie Eilish.
She currently runs a growing YouTube channel, Tiktok and Instagram page that has garnered an audience worldwide and tens of thousands of views and is followed by notable music and keyboard brands such as Nord Pianos. Her artistry has allowed her to share the stage with top tier L.A based musicians and songwriters, collaborate with numerous music labels and music producers, and perform at major venues across the entire country. She has played piano on the Star Wars Outlaws and Arknights video game soundtracks, and has recorded piano covers of Pokemon and Silk Song soundtracks that have garnered thousands of streams. Some of her performances were at the Valley Performing Arts Center where she conducted a 40-piece orchestra for the World Premier of her piece "A Path Unfolds, and other venues such as the Colts Stadium in Indianapolis, the Texas Alamodome, the Georgia Dome, the Hall of Liberty, and Cal State Northridge.
Sophia has been playing the piano since the age of three, and in her formative years she acquired her Grade 8 Certificate in Piano from the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music (ABRSM) when she was 14. Sophia holds a degree from California State University Northridge and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Music in Media Composition.
Active as a collaborative artist, Sophia performs as a pianist and keyboardist with many different ensembles for private and public events, and studio albums. A charismatic and dedicated performer and teacher, Sophia loves connecting with fans and students all over the world!
